CT wasn't worried when Nate told him he was having a friend over. In hindsight, he should have been. From the time he'd gotten the boy, Nate had been shy, almost impossibly shy. He had no qualms with going off with strangers but when it came to making friends, he'd clam up and hide away until the event pass.
It was something CT tried to remedy by letting Nate take as many classes as he wanted to in his interested areas but the boy somehow had an aversion to friendship. He would make one, maybe two friends during the course of the class and then –poof- they disappear off the face of the earth.
